AP: Onorato vs. Corbett

We know one thing: Pennsylvania’s next governor will hail from Pittsburgh.

The AP has called the Democratic and Republican gubernatorial primaries for Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato and Attorney General Tom Corbett. With 62 percent of precincts reporting, Onorato has 47 percent of the vote – a strong showing in a four-man race – and Corbett enjoys a 70-30 lead over Rohrer.

Rohrer’s campaign was feeling confident about an upset earlier today, arguing low statewide turnout would work in their favor. It looks like that hasn’t happened.

For all the mental energy reporters have spent speculating about what factors could lead to possible upsets, both races are breaking exactly like the last round of polls predicted.
