It’s Sestak

The AP has called the Democratic Senate primary for Congressman Joe Sestak. By all measures, it’s a stunning comeback for Sestak, who trailed by wide margins before his campaign started airing television ads in April.
Specter is conceding the race right now.
The five-term incumbent had the backing of President Obama, Governor Rendell and the rest of the Democratic establishment. Sestak countered by campaigning across the state at a near-manic pace.
Democratic chairman T.J. Rooney recently called a Sestak primary win “cataclysmic” for the party’s chances against Republican nominee Pat Toomey. We’ll see what he says tomorrow.
