Rendell Responds to Philadelphia Magazine

Philadelphia Magazine has posted a preview of an upcoming article addressing rumors Governor Rendell is having an affair with Kirsten Snow, who heads Commonwealth Media Services. “Absolutely not,” Snow tells the magazine.
A reporter asked Rendell about the article before this afternoon’s budget meeting, and he wasn’t too pleased with the question. “It’s personal. It’s between me and my family,” he said. “There’s no governmental interest here. What I said and what Dr. Snow said in Philadelphia Magazine is the truth. That’s it. Don’t ask me again.”

The article also apparently gets into last summer’s “Governor X” murmerings, in which one of the prostitutes involved with former New York Governor (and new CNN host) Eliot Spitzer told Opie and Anthony she had serviced another high-profile governor. ““I was hoping that the New York Post would print that it was me,” Rendell tells the magazine. “And then I was going to own the New York Post. Midge knew it wasn’t me. I have my failings, but she was pretty confident that I didn’t go to a prostitute.”
