And now…

…the response to the response.

As noted earlier, Attorney General Tom Corbett made waves today by saying people are purposely staying unemployed in order to cash in on benefits. Dan Onorato’s campaign pounced, saying, “Tom Corbett doesn’t even recognize there’s a problem, so it’s no surprise that he has no real plan to improve our economy or actually create the jobs that in his mind already exist.”

Corbett’s spokesman, Kevin Harley, counters, “if there’s one thing Dan Onorato is an expert in, it’s unemployment,” noting the stat has gone up during Onorato’s tenure as Allegheny County Executive.

I have emailed the Onorato campaign to see whether they want to respond to Corbett’s response to Onorato’s response. Over the course of the primary, Onorato consistently countered the unemployment attack by saying Allegheny County’s jobless rate lagged behind the rest of the state’s.

One Response to And now…

  1. Michael says:

Tom Corbett abandoned his Atty Gen job, but is still collecting paychecks for it.

Unemployed construction workers don’t abandon their jobs and still collect paychecks as though they were still working the job.

Tom Corbett is running around the state bumming money, and begging for votes. He is not working as Atty Gen, but he is COLLECTING PAYCHECKS from us as though he were still working for us.

THAT IS THEIVERY. TOM CORBETT IS STEALING PAYCHECKS. HE IS NOT WORKING FOR US, BUT IS TAKING PAYCHECKS FROM US.

Tom Corbett is out TRYING TO GET A DIFFERNT JOB. He IS NOT WORKING, so WHEN IS HE GOING TO BE CHARGED WITH THEFT for STEALING PAYCHECKS that he DID NOT WORK FOR?
